    Description

Walt Disney Animation Artist Roy Wilson 1990's Christmas SUNWOO Korea Kwon Young
Walt Disney Animation Artist Roy Wilson 1990's Christmas SUNWOO Korea Kwon Young
Classic Animation Art from Saturday's Toys presents...
an elegantly prepared Christmas greeting from Kwon Young at Sunwoo Entertainment in Korea; as issued to Disney animator, director and producer Roy Wilson.
Noted for their production support for Walt Disney Television Animation... on such exceptional 1990's animation projects such as:
    Darkwing Duck
    Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers
    Gummi Bears
    Aladdin
    Hercules
    The Little Mermaid
    Goof Troop
    Buzz Lightyear of Star Command
    TaleSpin
    Timon & Pumbaa
    Winnie the Pooh
    The Mighty Ducks
    101 Dalmatians
    Quack Pack
    Bonkers
    ... and many more
Here, on behalf of Sunwoo, Kwon Young sends his holiday greeting with the following hand-lettered inscription:  "Thanks for your continued kindness & best wishes for a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year."  Includes his personal signature as well.  The outer envelope is hand lettered as well, though Roy's last name might have gotten lost in the translation... from "Wilson" to "Wilsom"... easily overlooked in light of the beauty of the special greeting... in essence, the only holiday greeting preserved within the personal animation collection of Roy Wilson.
The document measures 8.75" x 13.75"; with 4 panels.  The artwork was printed on a specially selected traditional Korean mulberry paper.  Pictures the timeless evergreen tree, bamboo and even the cherry blossom with its promise of new life.
The greeting was provided to Disney producer Roy Wilson during his work on several of the above mentioned animated series.
Very good condition; nicely preserved for the past quarter century.

    Saturday’s Toys and Collectibles
was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and media historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first online specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 15,000 coveted treasures since that time, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers and collectors throughout the globe.
Today, online offerings of archival keepsakes are presented in celebration of the times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately represented by "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a nod to the Sherman Brothers):
"Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
